A charity organisation in Birmingham UK that supports families suffering from Sickle Cell Anaemia and Thalassaemia. Their old branding was outdated and did not represent the organisation effectively. The task was to create a modern and recognisable logo that would convey their mission and values.
One of the significant challenges of this project was to design a logo that would accurately represent the organisation's mission while creating an emotional connection with the audience. It was essential to create a design that was unique, memorable and relevant.
To create a unique and memorable logo, I used two sickle cells to form a 3D 'O' shape. This approach reflects the charity's mission and values, making it clear that Oscar's focus is on supporting those affected by sickle cell anaemia and Thalassaemia. The two sickle cells symbolise the support, care and empathy that the organisation offers. The purple and white colours were chosen as they represent strength, compassion, and hope.
The new logo is modern, clean and easy to read, making it a more effective representation of Oscar's brand. It now effectively conveys the charity's mission and values, making it easier for people to recognise and remember the organisation.
